One of my favorite non-writing projects is restoring and sailing my 1967 Columbia 22 sailboat, the First Draft. It's an old boat, a work in progress, and a great way for family and friends to spend time together on the lake!
Naturally a writer has to have a "writerly" name for the boat.
Sometimes we sight mountain goats on the nearby mountains.
The wind does kick up on occasion.
But mainly sailing is relaxing...
...and a way to enjoy the lake together. My son Kai is on the left.
There's enough room on the boat for overnight "boat camping."
